నిజామాబాద్ రూరల్ నియోజక వర్గం లోని ధర్పల్లి మండలం రామడుగు గ్రామానికి శ్రీరాముడు నడయాడిన నేలగా విశిష్ట చరిత్ర ఉంది. అలా ఆ గ్రామం పేరు రామడుగు గా వాడుకలోకి వచ్చింది.
The village of Ramadugu in the Dharpalli Zone of the Nizamabad Rural Constituency has a unique history as the place where Lord Rama walked. Thus the name of the village came into use as Ramadugu.

ప్రజల విశ్వాసాన్ని బలపరిచేలా గ్రామంలోని ప్రాజెక్టులో గతంలో ఎన్నడూ లేని విధంగా నీటి మధ్యలో పాదం ఆకారం తేలింది. ఈ విషయాన్ని మత్స్యకారులు గమనించి గ్రామస్తులకు చెప్పడంతో అక్కడికి పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో చేరుకుని తిలకించారు.
వేసవి కాలం కావడంతో నీటిమట్టం తగ్గుతూ అక్కడక్కడ ఎత్తు పల్లాలు, పైకి తేలి కనిపిస్తున్నాయి. అలా పైకి తేలిన గట్టు నేలపై నున్న మట్టి నీటి తొణుకులకు కిందికి జారీ అచ్చంగా పాదం ఆకారం రావడంతో గ్రామస్తులు భక్తితో మొక్కుతున్నారు.
హనుమాన్ జయంతి రోజున ఇది వెలుగులోకి రావడం రాముని మాయ అని ప్రజలు చర్చించుకుంటున్నారు.
