విఘ్నేశ్వరుడిని ఏ శుభకార్యం ప్రారంభించే ముందు ఆయన్ని ప్రార్థిస్తాం. వినాయకా.. అని ప్రార్థిస్తే ఆదుకునే ఆ దేవుడు.. విశిష్ట వినాయక రూపాలలో ఒకటిగా 'శక్తిగణపతి' దర్శనమిస్తుంటాడు. 

శక్తిగణపతి పేరుకి తగినట్టుగానే కార్యసిద్ధికి అవసరమైన శక్తిని ప్రసాదిస్తాడు. తనని ఆరాధించడం వలన ఎంతటి కష్టసాధ్యమైన కార్యం నుంచైనా విజయం లభించేలా చేస్తాడు.

ఒకానొక సందర్భంలో సాక్షాత్తు శ్రీమన్నారాయణుడు శక్తిగణపతిని పూజించినట్టు ఆధ్యాత్మిక నిపుణులు అంటున్నారు.

 శ్రీమహావిష్ణువు యోగనిద్రలో ఉన్నప్పుడు ఆయన చెవుల నుంచి 'మధుకైటభులు' ఉద్భవిస్తారు. 

వాళ్లు బ్రహ్మదేవుడిని నానావిధాలుగా బాధిస్తూ ఉండటంతో ఆయన తట్టుకోలేకపోతాడు. విష్ణుమూర్తిని విడిచి వెళ్లవలసిందిగా ఆయన యోగనిద్రను కోరిన కారణంగా ఆ స్వామికి మెలకువ వస్తుంది. 

బ్రహ్మదేవుడి అభ్యర్థనను ఆలకించిన శ్రీమహావిష్ణువు మధుకైటభులను అంతం చేయడానికి సిద్ధపడతాడు. అయితే అది అంతతేలిక కాదని గ్రహించి 'శక్తిగణపతి'ని పూజిస్తాడు. శక్తిగణపతి ఆరాధనా ఫలితంగా ఆయన మధుకైటభులను సంహరిస్తాడు. అందువలన అనునిత్యం శక్తిగణపతిని ఆరాధిస్తూ వుండాలి. తలపెట్టిన కార్యాల్లో విజయాన్ని సొంతం చేసుకుంటూ వుండాలి.
