దేశం కోసం ప్రాణాల్ని పణంగా పెట్టిన గూఢచారి కథలు ఎప్పుడూ మనసును కదిలిస్తాయి. అలాంటి నిజ జీవిత హీరోలలో ఒకరు రవీంద్ర కౌశిక్ (Ravindra Kaushik). రాజస్థాన్ (Rajasthan) కు చెందిన ఈ యువకుడు కేవలం 23 ఏళ్ల వయసులోనే భారత గూఢచారి సంస్థ రీసెర్చ్ అండ్ అనాలిసిస్ వింగ్ (RAW - Research and Analysis Wing) లో ఎంపికయ్యాడు. దేశ భద్రత కోసం అతను ఒక ప్రమాదకరమైన మిషన్ చేపట్టాడు. తన అసలు వ్యక్తిత్వాన్ని వదిలి ‘నబి అహ్మద్ షకీర్’ (Nabi Ahmed Shakir) అనే పేరుతో పాకిస్తాన్ (Pakistan) లోకి ప్రవేశించాడు.

రవీంద్ర కౌశిక్ చేసిన సేవలకు గుర్తింపుగా అప్పటి ప్రధాని ఇందిరా గాంధీ (Indira Gandhi) ఆయనకు “బ్లాక్ టైగర్” (Black Tiger) అనే బిరుదు ఇచ్చారు. కానీ ప్రతి మిషన్ లో ప్రమాదం తప్పదు. ఒక జూనియర్ ఏజెంట్ చేసిన చిన్న పొరపాటు వల్ల 1983లో రవీంద్ర కౌశిక్ పాకిస్థాన్ అధికారులకు చిక్కిపోయారు. ఆ తర్వాత ఆయనకు తీవ్రమైన శిక్ష పడింది. పాకిస్థాన్ జైలులో ఆయన 16 సంవత్సరాలు అమానుష పరిస్థితుల్లో గడిపారు. చివరికి 2001లో అక్కడే కన్నుమూశారు. దేశం కోసం అంతటి త్యాగం చేసిన ఈ మహా వీరుడు, చివరి వరకు తన నిజమైన గుర్తింపును కూడా బయటపెట్టకుండా పోరాడారు. ప్రస్తుతం “ధురంధర్ 2” (Dhurandhar 2) సినిమా నేపథ్యంలో ఆయన కథ మళ్లీ ప్రజల్లో చర్చకు వచ్చింది.

move us deeply. One such real-life hero is Ravindra Kaushik. Hailing
from Rajasthan, this young man was selected into India’s intelligence agency, Research
and Analysis Wing (RAW), at just 23 years of age. For the security of the
nation, he undertook a highly dangerous mission.
Leaving behind his true identity, he entered Pakistan under
the name “Nabi Ahmed Shakir.”
There, he began an entirely new life. He studied LLB and
later joined the Pakistan Army, rising to the rank of Major. From 1979
to 1983, the confidential information he provided was extremely crucial for
India.
In particular, intelligence related to Pakistan’s nuclear
program and war strategies helped India prevent several potential threats
in advance.
In recognition of his extraordinary service, then Prime
Minister Indira Gandhi awarded him the title “Black Tiger.”
However, every mission carries risks. Due to a mistake made by a junior agent,
Ravindra Kaushik was caught by Pakistani authorities in 1983. He was then
subjected to severe punishment.
He spent 16 years in harsh and inhumane conditions in a
Pakistani prison. Eventually, he passed away there in 2001. This महान वीर (great
hero), who sacrificed everything for the country, fought till the very end
without revealing his true identity.
Today, his story has once again come into public discussion
in connection with the movie “Dhurandhar 2.”
